Canines Unleashed  "Playcare for Dogs" was founded in 2002 by Ann Liberati and her first ever Great dane Zoe.  Although there were no dog daycares at the time, and amid opposition at every turn, Ann & Zoe were determined and forged ahead. After a year of classes , visiting dog daycares in other states, and pounding the pavement looking for sites, they started in a 2500 sq ft facility in a shopping Plaza in Liverpool.  Within a year they had taken the adjacent store front as well and grew to 5000 sq Ft.  Within 5 years they outgrew that space and moved up the street to a 9000 sq ft free standing building with an additional 5000 sq ft outside and that is where Canines Unleashed can be found today.

With 3 separate playrooms, and 3 different play yards there is more than enough room for the 60-80 dogs a day that visit the facility.  There is a separate "Littles" area complete with their own

yard and a retail area in the front lobby where you can find many of your dog's favorite toys as well as our very own brand of C.U. collars and leashes made right here locally.

Ann retired in 2022 after 20 years.

 

The new owners are Amy and Chris Rivard who intend on continuing with the Canines Unleashed standard of excellence.
